Effective immediately (as of December 26, 2025), due to California’s Assembly Bill 1263 (AB-1263), we will no longer accept orders for revolver grips or other handgun grip products that require shipment to California shipping addresses. This new law classifies certain firearm accessories—including pistol grips and related handgun components—as regulated items. It imposes requirements on sellers to perform age and identity verification, provide specific warnings, and follow strict delivery protocols. The Hamre Forge AFR UnderCover Conundrum

The AFR UnderCover grip has been a hit in the revolver community, and we’re thrilled with the enthusiasm and demand. However, our current inventory is far below what’s needed to meet this interest. I planned to ramp up production after freeing machine capacity from OEM orders, but a critical machine component failed two weeks ago. The part, only made overseas with a 30-45 day lead time, delayed us until a friend supplied a spare, costing us two weeks. Kimbers - Coming Back!

Sometime in December, we stopped shipping Kimber stocks. We paused for a few reasons, but the primary one was the feel around the horns transitioning to the backstrap. The Kimber grip frame is a complex shape. It has multiple planes, significant shape variation, and some unusual features around the horns. Our first-generation grips were solid, but they suffered from a high recoil impulse. It seems time for an update. Time to answer some questions, provide business and product updates, and the like. What's the material? Do you make rubber grips? A lot of people ask what our grips are made of, how hard or soft they are, and how they're made. At this time, all our grips are made from nylon—polyamide-12, specifically. Business updates and A Happy New Year!

2024 was WILD here at the forge. We shipped more orders in December than we did in our entire first year of business in 2023. Simply amazing, and it wouldn't have been possible without the support of our enthusiastic customers. It doesn't look like it's slowing down anytime soon. We're on track to ship more grips in January and February than we did in all of 2024, which makes me nervous about what Q4 of 2025 might bring. We're extremely excited to show our completed second generation of the Hamre Forge LCR Boot Grip. For a long time we've had our three piece grips, and while they worked, they had some issues. They were difficult to make. They had a high manufacturing failure rate. They took a lot of time to clean and prep for sending. State Of The Hamre Forge Union Update

LCR At the time of writing this, we have about 20 orders outstanding, and they're all for the LCR. The LCR is the final set of stocks that we are manufacturing on our FDM printers, and not sintering on our industrial SLS machine. The time and labor it takes for every LCR is extensive, which is why we've been wanting to produce a 1 piece LCR grip on the SLS. We're wrapping up the 1 piece LCR project right now. What a long time coming. Starting tomorrow we're shipping backlogged orders. I'll start with the problems that started all this off. Parts were failing internal strength tests prior to shipment Parts were being produced with excess surface porosity that was aesthetically garbage, and could lead to mechanical failure. Given these two issues, we were seeing very high failure rates. To make matters worse, as we chased the strength issue, we saw increased porosity. "Where's my order?!" That's what a lot of people are probably wondering. I want to reiterate that we're doing everything we can to fill orders. We're staying up late, and waking up early. We have not forgotten any orders, and as soon as your order ships, you will receive a tracking number and notification that your order has been completed. Finally coming up for air

The last 25 days have been wild. We released the HF Spegels on June 30th, and got absolutely pummeled with orders. To make matters worse, running our new machine in a production capacity exposed some flaws in our configuration which required us to go back to doing some machine tuning. Update after Hamre Forge Kimber and HF Spegel releases

A few things forced our hand and obligated us to release the HF Spegel stocks very shortly after the Kimber K6s and K6xs stocks. Normally I would prefer a little more of a build up to let everyone know instead of springing it so close together. But, we were actually expecting to release the Kimber stocks back in February of this year, and issues with production threw quite a monkey wrench into those plans. NAA Release - Issues Abound

We were very excited to launch our NAA grips. We'd been testing both our grips and our new manufacturing method with success. And leave it to our first full production run of NAA grips for us to experience our first catastrophic failure. What should have been over 30 pairs of grips was this- Now, thankfully, I caught wind of this 2 days ago when these were being created, so I had things queued up with the manufacturer to be able to troubleshoot this, rectify it, and send repair parts ASAP....
