Our last update was on July 18 of this year, letting everyone know that our commercial machine was damaged beyond repair. At the time, we were in communication with a machine manufacturer and excited to purchase replacement machines.
Getting the new machines online and working out the kinks in the manufacturing process has proved challenging, but the manufacturer has been wonderful to work with and very accommodating.
Unfortunately, while producing grips we ran into an issue with dimensional drift. Spot-checking gave us promising results, but after a week and 500 manufactured pairs of grips, we not only exposed some problems with the new machines, but also discovered that those issues led to all the grips being out of spec and unsellable. Since then, we’ve been working to get the machines fully online, and we’re now on the tail end of that process.
We still have a few things to finish and a few commitments to meet, but it’s our intent to have grips available to the public this month.
The support and feedback we continue to receive is greatly encouraging. We get a lot of contact-form submissions and messages on different platforms from people wanting our grips, and we know that this support has allowed us to continue upfitting our operation while maturing in our designs and offerings.
What we have planned excites us, and we hope everyone out there is equally excited. I know patience—and not having the right set of grips—can be frustrating. At the same time, I hope that when we finally put grips on the website and customers get them in hand, people will be excited and feel the wait was worth it. We don’t want to release something too soon, and we don’t want to disappoint customers, many of whom have become friends.
I hope everyone has had an enjoyable summer, and as we transition into the fall and the holidays, that people have a memorable season with family and friends.
God bless,
Ryan Hamre
